Tennyson recently turned 1 and this amazing boy has been through so very much in his first year of life. I first met him at his newborn session where he rocked it and slept through majority of it. He arrived earlier than expected, we had a maternity session planned but that just was not meant to be. He was so bitty, around 3 lbs! At his newborn session I could see the hints of red hair (I adore red hair!). As you can see from the recent photos, he has bright copper, red hair. Oh how I would love my hair to be this color!
'lil peanut
Tennyson (Tens) was not gaining weight and after months of doctors/hospital visits Tens parents, Dane and Calli, learned that he has a rare genetic disorder. It is unknown at this time if anyone else has his similar genetic make-up, therefore no one knows what to expect. Yes, he has this challenge to fight everyday of his life and his family fights with him and for him, yet I would like to share some things about him outside of his genetic disorder. He is sunlight in a world where there is a lot of darkness. He is full of laughter and smiles. He is curious. He is inspiring. During his session he kept saying, 'Ma, Ma!". When I am around him and I experience his smiles, it's like everything is right in the world. I cannot even describe the feeling. It's like feeling the sun after months of gloom. You know that feeling? He makes me forget my own gloom because I am feeling his rays of light. Yep, he is God's light. Currently Tennyson is in PICU fighting for his life. I ask you at this time to keep this family in your prayers, your thoughts.
Speaking of his family, Tennyson's strength and spirit is inspiring and so is his families. I am amazed with how Calli and Dane digest what each day brings them. They keep their humor up....I mean, Calli IS sarcastic humor. But I know they are hurting, yet they choose to be positive. They have a huge emotional support system of family and friends. Tens has a gentle, loving big brother who loves him deeply.
